The Hygienalyzer Test is quick and easy to do. There are some simple procedures that need to be carried out in order to optimize the quality of the measurements:
1) Before the electrode is placed on a worker's skin, the electrode should be sanitized to reduce the risk of cross contamination of the hands of workers. Soon we will make available sanitizing wipes that are compatible with use of the Skin Surface pH Method.
2) A single drop of sterile distilled water is placed on the skin in order to make excellent electrical contact between the skin and the electrode of the skin surface pH meter. Soon we  will offer drop bottles of sterile distilled water containing enough doses to test 500 - 700 workers.
3) The pH meter should be calibrated on a
weekly basis. We will offer calibration buffers for this purpose. The buffers are for calibration a pH's 4.0, 7.0 and 10.0.
4) We are in the process of evaluating pH meters and pH papers that are compatible with the Skin Surface pH Meter. We intend to offer these to our licensees at reduced cost.
5) We intend to offer to our licensees a kit that contains all of the above mentioned items plus the license and educational materials.
